**Job Summary**
Planate Management Group, a leading Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee and assist with all activities on all facets of the shipyard's electrical work. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the preparation of assessment reports, ensuring timely submission based on onsite evaluation, and performing various engineering duties.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform design work for new building, renovations, and shipyard improvements.
- Interpret and modify established methods and procedures to provide design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that meet project objectives and requirements.
- Conduct selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal assessments.
- Develop cost estimates and time schedules, as well as technical specifications.
- Examine and evaluate preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and suitability.
- Use computer-aided engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies, and load analysis) to accomplish engineering duties.
- Assist the contract management and planning divisions with scope, programming, and schedule definitions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in electrical engineering.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Electrical Engineer.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in facilities and management.
- Experience in handling mid to high-voltage and onsite electrical assessments.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills, both vocal and written.
- Innovative approach to using new technologies and exceptional problem-solving ability.
