Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting Proton's against various cyber-security threats. You will ensure the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of thousands of assets necessary to the fulfillment of Proton's privacy mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teams at Proton to develop and improve our security posture
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the company on security-related topics
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based systems used by the security team
  • Responsible for the operation of some critical IAM services that must run reliably 24/7
  • Be proactive in identifying areas of improvement and implementing effective solutions
  • Debug and resolve infrastructure issues efficiently
  • Automate routine tasks using configuration management tools and scripting languages
  • Monitor system performance, ensure system availability, and reliability
  • Ensure any systems are equipped with proper logging, monitoring, alerting, and documentation
  • Provide technical engineering support and guidance to the security team in all of its projects
  • Assist the security team with monitoring network and systems activities for security breaches and respond to incidents
  • Assist the security team in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for cybersecurity
  • Proven security experience and understanding
  • Proficient with Linux-based systems and services administration
  • Experience with infrastructure automation
  • Proficient in scripting languages
  • Knowledge in IAM tools, processes, and workflows
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent English communication and teamwork skills
