Engineering Operations Specialist, Data Center Infrastructure Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Operations Specialist to join our Data Center Infrastructure Management team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our data center facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Operations
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
- Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all data center systems, including incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution, and other aspects of data center support.
- Provide assistance to contractor or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Collaborate with other support teams to drive resolution of problems encountered.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues through root-cause elimination and problem-solving.
- Implement proactive issue detection and immediate response to maintain service level agreements (SLAs).
- Education
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls.
- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
- Experience leading and managing operations of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or similar technical focus.
