Role Purpose

The IT Manager and Systems Administrator is tasked with overseeing and sustaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring peak performance and security. This position includes managing the IT team, implementing technological solutions, and providing strategic advice on IT matters to align with the organization's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Serve as the primary resource for our IT team, guiding them to achieve their best work.
  • System Management: Oversee the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, networks, and software.
  • Technical Support: Address hardware and software issues for all staff.
  • Project Oversight: Plan and manage IT projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
  • Policy Development: Create and enforce IT policies to ensure compliance.
  • System Monitoring: Continuously monitor systems and propose enhancements.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Ensure the organization has effective recovery plans for IT incidents.

Requirements:

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of networks, Windows, Linux, cloud technologies, and system administration tools.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading and mentoring an IT team.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and resolution capabilities.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management: Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in IT management or systems administration roles.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure Admin, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Project Experience: Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects.
