Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering teams and drive the development of our products. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering strategies that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
  • Monitor and report on engineering performance metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to engineering teams to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to integrate relevant advancements into our engineering processes.
  • Oversee the architecture and infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Work closely with the executive team to define the long-term vision and strategy for the engineering department.
  • Align engineering goals with business objectives to develop innovative solutions that meet market demands.
  • Drive the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Manage the engineering budget, including resource allocation, vendor negotiations, and cost control.
  • Ensure that engineering resources are effectively utilized to meet project timelines and company goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, cloud computing, DevOps practices, and system architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, drive change, and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to align engineering efforts with business strategy and contribute to the company's long-term success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions.
