Enerpac Tool Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional General Counsel to join our team in the EMEA region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide strategic legal advice and support to our commercial leadership and broader organization.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management: Ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies, and monitor the contract process to assure compliance with the company's contractual guidelines, customer specifications, and company policy.
- Employment Law: Advise the organization on issues concerning employment law, including termination of contracts and restraint of trade enforcement, as required by HR and management teams.
- Intellectual Property: Advise the organization on issues concerning patent, copyright, or trademark matters.
- Legal Risk Management: Examine legal data to determine advisability and/or risk associated with defending or prosecuting a lawsuit.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and horizon scan for legal developments across the EMEAI region and support General Counsel and the business on preparation for future legal developments.
- External Counsel: Appoint and liaise with outside legal counsel as needed.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Provide legal advice to the organization on mergers and acquisitions.
- Legal Entity Maintenance: Coordinate and manage legal entity maintenance and corporate secretarial activity.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Support the HSEQ function as needed to promote and enforce safety awareness and improvement.
- Travel and Representation: Willing and able to travel internationally and represent the company in a professional manner at all times both internally and externally.
- Fully licensed and qualified attorney.
- 5+ years of experience as in-house legal counsel.
- Significant experience across the EMEAI geographic region.
- Manufacturing / Industrial experience (preferred).
- Public company experience (preferred).
