Head of Global Security Operations

As a key member of the Straumann Group team, the Head of Global Security Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and data. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned security professional to lead our global security operations team and drive our information security strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the global security operations team in delivering information security operations elements of the information security strategy
  • Ensure alignment with Straumann Group objectives, legislative requirements, and industry good practice
  • Collaborate with the SOC provider to perform information security monitoring and threat analysis
  • Own the security incident management program and serve as the primary contact between the SOC and internal security response teams
  • Develop and implement technical IT security baselines and remediation
  • Provide leadership, motivation, challenge, and oversight to a globally distributed technical team
  • Define and embed a culture of highly visible, responsive, and effective service provision with the SOC provider
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience managing information security operations and/or incident response activities in a complex organization
  • Significant experience and expertise in network and systems security, application security, Unix/Linux/Windows systems administration, TCP/IP networking, intrusion detection/prevention, penetration testing, and malware analysis
  • Excellent understanding of IT security principles, theories, practices, and techniques
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and effective collaborations with other teams
  • High level of personal integrity and ability to handle confidential matters
  • Understanding of legislation relevant to incident response, network monitoring, investigations, and handling of legally sensitive materials
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related field
