The Opportunity

We're seeking a seasoned Data Engineer - Finance Infrastructure to join our Finance Data team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our finance and data teams to shape the evolution of our financial data platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of all financial data assets from ingestion to modeling to reporting.
  • Provide strategic vision for evolving and optimizing our financial data platform.
  • Work closely with our finance team to understand downstream use cases for modeling our data assets.
  • Establish infrastructure, monitoring, testing, and best practices across the finance data platform.
  • Collaborate with our data analytics team to support enhancements to the core data platform analytics layer.

Requirements

  • Experience working with financial data assets.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Extensive working experience with dimensional modeling and implementing data transformations through tooling like DBT.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Experience with BI tooling like Looker.
  • Good practical understanding of version control.
  • Working knowledge of Terraform and Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with cloud providers, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Outstanding project management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong desire to help and upskill your teammates.
