The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in modernizing and migrating our infrastructure to Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in meetings and conferences to gather requirements and discuss architectural decisions.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of deploying and managing application lifecycles to interpret customer business needs and processes.
  • Create cloud-based infrastructure required by the software team in Azure and AWS.
  • Work in a CI/CD environment.
  • Refine, evangelize, and deliver on Lumen's multi-cloud operating model vision and strategy.
  • Partner in the delivery of cloud-based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
  • Evolve and drive our automation capabilities by enabling a DevOps and SRE culture.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical lead to guide, mentor, and coach.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • English proficiency (C1/C2).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems or related field or the equivalent in training and experience.
  • 4+ years' experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions in Azure and AWS.
  • 4+ years' experience in combined roles of cloud engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineering, SRE or application development.
  • 3 years of scripting language development experience (BASH).
  • Expertise with automating infrastructure provisioning and/or continuous integration/delivery.
  • Experience in one or more languages, such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, C++, Terraform, or similar.
  • Excellent experience in the application of cloud architectures and IT security principles.
