About the Role

DUFRYS is seeking a highly skilled Global Tax Accounting and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's tax compliance and reporting requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Reporting

  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual group reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  2. Prepare tax reports for internal and external stakeholders, including disclosures for Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and other relevant standards.
  3. Analyze tax balances and tax provisions to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Develop and maintain tax manuals and guidelines, and train the accounting and reporting communities on tax reporting matters.
  5. Collaborate with the finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of tax-related items.

Tax Compliance

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of global tax strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Prepare BEPS Pillar II reporting, including quarterly calculations on safe harbor and GLoBe rules to monitor top-up tax.
  3. Prepare country-by-country reports, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  4. Maintain proper documentation and support for tax positions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  5. Implement new reporting and compliance obligations, as foreseen in the OECD guidelines: Pillar II, CbCR, etc.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  1. Work closely with various departments to provide tax guidance and support, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  2. Liaise with external auditors and consultants in connection with tax-related matters and audits, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on global reporting.
  3. Experience working in a multinational corporation or a Big Four.
  4. In-depth knowledge of international tax, IFRS, US GAAP.
  5. Proficiency in tax software and financial systems, and proven ability with Excel.
  6. Full professional competence in English and Spanish.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and focus on data accuracy, quality, and integrity.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
