About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Regional General Counsel to join our team at Enerpac Tool Group. As a key member of our commercial leadership team, you will provide strategic legal advice and counsel to support the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to commercial leadership on all aspects of our business, including contracts, employment law, and intellectual property.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage and oversee the regional legal budget and spend, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Represent the Company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and government agencies, as needed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address business risks and opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with legal developments across the EMEAI region and provide guidance on how to prepare for future changes.
- Appoint and liaise with external legal counsel as required.
- Support the business on mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage legal entity maintenance and corporate secretarial activity.
- Support the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSEQ) function to promote and enforce safety awareness and improvement.
Requirements
- Fully licensed and qualified attorney with a strong track record of experience in-house.
- At least 5 years of experience as in-house legal counsel, with significant experience across the EMEAI geographic region.
- Manufacturing/Industrial experience is preferred, as is public company experience.
