Job Title: Operations & Technology Risk Senior Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Technology Risk Senior Specialist to join our team at Bitpanda. As a key member of our Group Risk Management Team, you will be responsible for overseeing our operational processes and systems that underpin our products, services, and interactions with the markets in which we operate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead oversight of central operations and associated technology risks, including transaction processes, asset and exchange monitoring risks.
  • Collaborate with Bitpanda's CISO teams regarding software development, governance, architecture, and roadmap/planning, in alignment with Bitpanda's Risk Management Framework.
  • Act as the point of contact for Bitpanda's technology and operations teams, helping them identify, treat, monitor, and report technology and transaction processing risks.
  • Perform control monitoring and oversight (including testing where needed) at planned intervals to assess effective control implementation, and advise risk owners on assessment and treatment of identified risks.
  • Coordinate risk and control assessments, oversee relevant events or incidents, participate in audit engagements as needed, and support senior management in aligning IT and Operations Risk governance with organisational goals.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in a financial services or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, technology risk, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
