Marine Electronics Engineer & Surveyor

Location: Algeciras, ES

Role Overview:

The Marine Electronics Engineer and Surveyor is responsible for delivering exceptional service and expertise in marine electronics across various vessels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting service operations primarily in the Algeciras region and southern Spain.
  • Providing support in other parts of Spain as needed.
  • Performing occasional service tasks globally when required.
  • Executing installation, commissioning, and sea trials of marine electronic systems for diverse international clients.
  • Preparing service reports and documentation in accordance with company standards and protocols.
  • Assisting in various service department functions, including spare parts coordination and warranty management.
  • Collaborating with coordinators, agents, manufacturers, and service partners as necessary.
  • Participating in manufacturer training sessions when required.
  • Supporting equipment installations at exhibitions within Spain.
  • Reporting directly to the Service/Technical Manager & Training.

Candidate Profile:

  • Must hold GOC approval as a Marine Electronics Engineer and Surveyor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently in service-related tasks.
  • Strong focus on productivity and performance evaluation.
  • Committed to generating net profit through service activities.
  • Dedicated to maintaining high quality and first-time fix rates.
  • Capable of adapting to the needs of both international and national clients.
  • Aims for customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with crew members, owners, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Adherence to IMO and Class regulations, as well as internal procedures.
