Job Description

Role Summary:

The Cloud Financial Analyst will play a critical role in promoting a culture of cost accountability and awareness for customers' cloud consumption within the Informatics Business Unit at Cfmg. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi-cloud landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Cloud Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across the cloud landscape, working closely with the cloud team to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Design and develop reporting and analytics tools to track and analyze cloud costs, providing insights to stakeholders and informing business decisions.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party cloud vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with Cfmg's cloud usage policies.
  • Cost Abnormality Management: Identify and investigate cost abnormalities, working with stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent future occurrences.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in financial or operational analysis, with a strong understanding of cloud computing and cost management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as experience with financial modeling and analysis tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to research and self-study to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
