Role Objective:
The Data Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional products. This position is integral to managing data workflows and leading a dedicated team of Data and Business Support Analysts, which is vital for the successful delivery of our data services while maintaining high standards of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role is to supervise data operations and lead a team of Geospatial Property Analysts.
The Data Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a team of Geospatial Property Analysts to foster optimal performance and professional development.
- Designing and managing efficient data product delivery processes that meet quality benchmarks.
- Overseeing the creation and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to support data integration and analysis.
- Conducting quality assurance checks on data pipelines and products to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Managing the implementation and ongoing administration of database technologies.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- 3-5 years of experience in managing data products and their delivery.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of data professionals.
- Strong background in data processes, particularly in developing and managing ETL pipelines.
- Extensive experience with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.
- Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance for data pipelines and products.
- Exceptional analytical skills to resolve complex data challenges.
- Strong communication abilities to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Desired:
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Geospatial Science).
- Familiarity with geospatial data and applications (e.g., ESRI, QGIS).
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
