What We're Looking For: We are seeking a highly skilled VP, Technical SEO to lead efforts to enhance organic traffic growth by partnering with product, engineering, and content teams to ensure that all Gartner Digital Markets brands are optimized for organic growth. This leader will work with a global team to drive our overall technical SEO strategy, including:

  1. Site Page Structure: Developing and implementing a site architecture that is optimized for search engines and user experience.
  2. URL Structure: Creating and maintaining a URL structure that is consistent and easy to navigate.
  3. Schemas Data: Ensuring that schema data is accurate and up-to-date to improve search engine rankings.
  4. Content Strategy: Developing and implementing a content strategy that is optimized for search engines and user experience.
  5. Core Web Vitals: Monitoring and improving core web vitals to ensure a fast and seamless user experience.
  6. Mobile Web Strategies: Developing and implementing mobile web strategies to improve user experience and search engine rankings.
  7. SEO Testing Best Practices: Establishing and maintaining SEO testing best practices to ensure that our site is optimized for search engines.
  8. SEO Analytics: Monitoring and analyzing SEO analytics to inform our technical SEO strategy.
  9. Programmatic Interlinking: Developing and implementing programmatic interlinking strategies to improve user experience and search engine rankings.
  10. Monitoring Changes in Google Algorithms: Staying up-to-date with changes in Google algorithms and adjusting our technical SEO strategy accordingly.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement Technical SEO Strategies: Implementing technical SEO strategies to increase traffic to buyer sites through on-page techniques such as title and meta-tagging, indexing, keyword ranking, overall site architecture, and off-page techniques (link building, backlink profile, etc.) to get exposure while building trust and authority for our content.
  2. Partner with Product & Engineering Leaders: Partnering with product and engineering leaders on prioritizing and implementing technical SEO improvements.
  3. Monitor and Analyze Site Performance: Monitoring and analyzing site performance and review tracking metrics to drive enhancements and provide solutions to increase search engine ranking.
  4. Research and Evaluate New Traffic Trends: Researching and evaluating new traffic trends and identifying new optimization opportunities.
  5. Assess Search Outcomes: Assessing search outcomes related to sites or advertising/marketing campaigns.
  6. Conduct Analysis for Program Effectiveness: Conducting analysis for program effectiveness and use the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all programs.
  7. Develop an SEO Testing Strategy: Developing an SEO testing strategy, including evaluating SEO testing tools and determining how to use them alongside traditional A/B experience testing tools.
  8. Lead a Globally Distributed Team: Leading a globally distributed team primarily based in Barcelona, Spain and Austin, TX, hiring and developing top talent.
  9. Manage a Positive Group Dynamic: Managing a positive group dynamic to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

What You Will Need:

  1. 10+ Years of Sales and Marketing Experience: 10+ years of sales and marketing experience, with demonstrated expertise with technical SEO and leading data-driven strategies.
  2. Expertise with SEO Tools: Expertise with SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics/Tag Manager, BrightEdge, DeepCrawl, and Majestic.
  3. Knowledge and Proven Experience with International SEO: Knowledge and proven experience with international SEO.
  4. BA in Business, Marketing or Equivalent Work Experience: BA in business, marketing or equivalent work experience; MBA degree preferred.
  5. Experience in Strategic Planning and Execution: Experience in strategic planning and execution, with proven ability to work collaboratively and drive solutions with technical teams.
  6. Extensive Experience in Strategy Formulation, Business Planning, and Strategy Execution: Extensive experience in strategy formulation, business planning, and strategy execution.
  7. Ability to Synthesize Complex Ideas: Ability to synthesize complex ideas into simple, concise value statements and core messages to drive increased revenue and market awareness.
  8. Comprehensive Understanding of Competitive Markets: Comprehensive understanding of competitive markets and how to build/maintain marketing strategies to reach target markets.
  9. Expertise to Create and Execute a Strategic Communications Plan: Expertise to create and execute a strategic communications plan for various stakeholders/audiences.
  10. Strategic Leadership Skills: Strategic leadership skills; ability to craft and articulate a clear, consistent vision and implement effective operating plans.
