About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at NextEnergy Capital Group. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assets in the Americas, focusing on revenue management, regulatory, and contractual issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of ~2 direct reports, ensuring effective team performance and achieving business objectives.
  • Revenue Accruals: Manage the monthly revenue accruals process, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Contract Compliance: Maintain solar plant compliance with contractual requirements, drafting and issuing formal notices/communications, and resolving non-compliance issues.
  • Contractual Disputes: Support the management and resolution of complex contractual disputes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Project Company Contract Renewals: Manage project company contract renewals and tendering, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing business disruption.
  • Regulatory Interface: Manage the regulatory interface and compliance requirements, working closely with advisors to ensure accurate data submissions and compliance.
  • Financial Planning: Collaborate with the Finance team to prepare project revenue budgets and forecasts, as well as supporting the development of asset operating budgets.
  • Cost and Revenue Management: Responsible for budget follow-up and management, coordinating with the company's finance team to validate costs and revenues.
  • Insurance and Property Management: Manage insurance renewals and claims, as well as property agreements, such as land leases, and relationships with landowners.
  • ESG Compliance: Support Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) compliance and delivery, ensuring alignment with company values.
  • Asset Onboarding: Support the company's in-house 'onboarding' process for new sites, focusing on understanding contracts and working internally with WiseEnergy's Finance and Technical teams.
  • Asset Management Platform: Update and develop the company's in-house Asset Management Platform (AMP) software, working with Commercial teams and the in-house Technology team.
  • Reporting and Ad Hoc Projects: Provide regular reporting to the client and internally, as required, and support ad hoc commercial projects.
Requirements
  • Commercial Experience: Minimum 4-5 years in a similar-level role, with a strong background in commercial management, regulatory, property, and contract knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced standard MS Office suite, notably Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc., and strong organizational, change management, and business process skills.
