Cloud & Edge Architect

Vodafone Group is launching its new technological HUB (MSH), an international center of excellence dedicated to research and development of technical solutions, such as Secure Networks, 5G and 6G development, Open RAN, IoT, MPN & MEC and UCC for Vodafone Business, platforms and enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of Cloud & Edge offerings within VBPS/PPE.
  • Produce and maintain architecture/design documents for solutions and roadmaps for their desired end-states.
  • Capture, document and share Architecture best practices and build and maintain relationships with other Architecture areas within Vodafone.
  • Provide guidance to product and solution designers that are contributing to the Cloud & Edge Architecture or making use of it for Customer Solutions.
  • Develop cross technology architecture strategy through the formation of working groups relating to enterprise product and business system technologies.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated/self-starter with strong leadership, communication and influencing skills (up to C-Level) and the ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with business users and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience within a technology organisation in a similar role, leading end to end solution development / solution assurance and leading matrix teams.
  • Deep understanding and experience in the application and development of products/strategies relating to Cloud technology with focus on Azure and AWS.
  • Understanding and experience in the application of Architecture frameworks and techniques.
  • Experience in implementing and adapting architecture techniques within multiple delivery scenarios (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps etc).
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Relevant qualifications in Azure, AWS, Google, VMware.
  • TOGAF COBIT, Zachmann, Tele Management Forum standards (TAM, eTOM and SID), ITIL etc.
