Lead IT Procurement Specialist

Position Title
IT Procurement LeadAs the IT Procurement Lead at Amadeus, you will be integral to a system that supports 150 airlines, numerous websites, various airports, and countless hotel properties. Your role will steer the evolution of global category practices, oversee comprehensive sourcing processes, and be crucial in shaping category strategies on an international level.
In this capacity, you will manage the infrastructure category, which encompasses hardware, security, hosting, datacomms, and personal equipment across the entire Amadeus landscape. You will also lead a team of three category buyers, dedicated to serving all global regions while collaborating with regional buyers in APAC, NORAM, LATAM, and MEA. Your leadership will be vital in nurturing their professional development and aligning efforts to meet strategic objectives, thereby amplifying your influence across various regions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Executing Global Categories, leading sourcing initiatives, ensuring contract implementation, and driving compliance
Oversee the complete sourcing process from negotiation to contract finalization Establish metrics and controls for the category practice to ensure successful execution Coordinate contract implementation activities with Regional Buyers and stakeholders Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams as necessary regarding procurement scope Ensure timely selection, ordering, and delivery of goods or services required by the organization, adhering to purchasing policies and achieving optimal costs Manage Risk & Regulation, closely monitoring Vendor Risk, Compliance, and Vendor Performance Define initiatives, KPIs, and scorecards related to Risk, Regulation, and Performance in collaboration with Data & Analytics, Category teams, Risk and Compliance, Security, Legal, Finance, and Business departments Ensure Amadeus incorporates all necessary measures and requirements in our third-party relationships to safeguard our assets and those of our customers Stay informed about evolving industry and regulatory changes affecting supplier risk management.Defining and implementing procurement strategies from strategic planning to sourcing execution for global categories
Analyze and establish category spend baselines and profiles, including risk assessments, SRM, and P2P strategies Develop specific category strategies on behalf of the Cluster Lead, with support from Category Lead buyers Assist the Cluster Lead in prioritizing categories for strategic sourcing initiatives Conduct internal and external analyses (industry and supplier) as part of a cross-functional sourcing team.Managing supplier relationships for global categories
Support the classification and categorization of suppliers in line with the defined procurement strategy Continuously monitor supplier performance and lead supplier development initiatives Identify opportunities for contract improvements and renegotiationsManaging internal customer relationships for global categories
Develop and manage relationships with internal customers within the framework of cross-functional supplier development teams Organize proactive sessions with internal customers to identify further TCO/TVO reduction opportunities Enhance procurement's profile and recognition within the internal customer community, including technical stakeholders and managementContributing to the Public Cloud transition for the Purchasing organization
Collaborate with the Public Cloud Lead Buyer to define the category strategy Outline the future Purchasing operating model in the context of the transition to Public CloudLeading the team of Category Buyers

Someone like you:
Ideally, over 5 years of experience in a strategic procurement environment, or a background in Engineering or Sales complemented by relevant experience that provides deep insights into purchasing practices Strong technical acumen to engage in complex technical discussions related to hardware and infrastructure (compute, storage, network equipment, and associated maintenance and support services), security services, and internal IT scope (laptops, desktops, printers) Familiarity with public cloud services and their corresponding supply chain (HW & NW Vendors and CSPs) is expected Skills in procurement analysis, including understanding and challenging specifications and requirements; historical spend and demand; qualitative and quantitative vendor information; cost structures and TCO Knowledge of products/services related to the specific category under job responsibility is essential Experience in managing Strategic Sourcing Projects is a must Ability to develop and oversee the supplier screening and selection process through RFx tools is necessary Proficiency in negotiating contractual legal frameworks and managing the contract lifecycle is crucial Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plusDo I need to meet all the requirements to apply?
