Job Description

Years of Experience Needed: 10+ years of experience in software development and at least 2 to 3+ years as a PostgreSQL developer for a large/high volume project.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and its architecture
  • Strong database fundamentals with experience in database performance tuning, bottlenecks, and database ER modeling
  • Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and its support for JSON
  • Ability to measure database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues and I/O bottlenecks

Certifications Needed: PostgreSQL Database certification (any)

About the Role: As a PostgreSQL Database Architect at Dabster Group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance databases that meet the needs of our large-scale projects. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that our databases are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance databases using PostgreSQL
  • Develop and maintain database code in the form of tables, stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc.
  • Measure database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues and I/O bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that databases are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in PostgreSQL and its ecosystem

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development
  • At least 2 to 3+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL developer for a large/high volume project
