Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Software Engineer to join our Blockchain team at Bitpanda GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions for high-performance backend systems in Python.
  • Building event-driven architecture hosted on AWS with Kafka.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of cryptocurrencies into our brokerage and white-label solution.
  • Collaborating with our engineering squads to build strong relationships and discuss topics and challenges.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Python and REST API knowledge built up in product-based companies.
  • Experience with using relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB).
  • High-level knowledge on API design and various methods of network communication.
  • A solid understanding of event-driven systems design, like event streams and message brokers (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with AWS Services, trading/markets, DevOps infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI, smart contracts, Cryptonodes, and Web3.
