About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platforms Engineer Lead to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Data Ingestion and Processing: Work with large and complex datasets, developing and implementing efficient data ingestion and processing solutions.
  • ETL and Data Quality: Develop and maintain ETL processes, ensuring data quality and adherence to FAIR principles.
  • Infrastructure and Operations: Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to drive automation and observability, ensuring seamless data platform operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to define data quality rules, KPIs, and exception alerts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a data engineering role, with a strong background in data processing concepts, Python, and Git.
  • Skills: Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and querying languages like SQL; experience with Spark, S3, and data lakes; knowledge of good practices for Python development.
Desirable Skills
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Databricks, and/or AWS Glue.
  • Streaming Data Services: Familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, and/or MKS.
  • Containerization: Experience with Docker.
