Industrial Controller Job Description

Flax+Kale is seeking an experienced Industrial Controller to join our Controlling team in Lleida. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enabling and supervising forecasting and budgeting processes for our Food and Beverage business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a financial business partner and advisor to the Food and Beverage business units.
  • Define and track financial KPIs to measure business performance.
  • Ensure consistency of KPIs and financial impacts versus budget, forecast, and previous year.
  • Coordinate and supervise managerial accounting rules and policies, and develop areas of improvement for the Food and Beverage business units.
  • Analyze monthly reports to understand financial figures and KPIs, and provide insights for revenue growth, business profitability, and cash generation.
  • Control costs versus budget for the Food and Beverage business units, including operational and capital expenditures.
  • Identify existing risks and accounting issues in the Food and Beverage business units, and link them with Internal Controlling breakdowns, providing feedback to the IC coordinator.
  • Synthesize F&B business and operations information from a financial perspective to foresee and anticipate possible economic risks, and seek new opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business studies (Business Administration, Finance, or similar).
  • 4-5 years of experience as an operations/business controller with proven track exposure to the business and deep knowledge of cost control.
  • Lean Manufacturing Knowledge (Six Sigma Certification or similar) is valuable.
  • Experienced in international and matrix environments.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Advanced level of all the Office Package (especially MS Excel).
  • Advanced level of platforms for enterprise business intelligence (BI).
  • Strong troubleshooting and report writing abilities.
