The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our EFS Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing efficient and scalable microservices, contributing to defining best practices for backend development, and working independently on team projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust backend systems using Python, web frameworks, and AWS/Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Mentor and support the growth of junior developers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on Python, web frameworks, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Understanding of security best practices in backend development.
