Research Editor, Politically Exposed Persons

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Editor to join our Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) team at Dow Jones Risk & Compliance. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for researching, recording, and updating details on senior political figures from specific countries.
Our team delivers data, research tools, and services to help clients meet anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and economic sanctions regulations. You will work closely with our Manager, Politically Exposed Persons, to ensure the accuracy and quality of our content.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on senior political figures, monitoring and analyzing publicly available sources, including government websites and Dow Jones-owned products.
- Extract relevant data, adhering to guidelines on PEP selection, data coverage, and accuracy standards.
- Respond to clients' questions about PEP content in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in anti-money laundering regulations and provide insights to the team.
- Contribute to the development of due diligence reports on companies and individuals, as required.
- Support the team with translation services, as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to improve workflow efficiency and tool effectiveness.
Requirements
- Fluency in English, Arabic, and French.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Strong proofreading skills and experience handling large volumes of information.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- A reliable and responsible attitude.
- An openness to diverse perspectives and appreciation for team diversity.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in additional languages, such as Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Spanish.
- Understanding of the political landscape in Europe and the Middle East.
- Knowledge of and interest in politics and anti-money laundering regulations.
- Automation skills, such as advanced Excel, Macros/VBA programming, Python, HTML, and/or SQL.
- Education to a degree level or relevant experience.
