Job SummaryThe Crowds Technical Assistant will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing crowd tools, providing technical support to artists, and troubleshooting the CG pipeline in a production environment. The primary focus is ensuring artist efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a deep understanding of the Crowds workflow and ensure the smooth operation of existing workflows and scripts.
- Provide technical support to Crowds Animators and Simulation artists, troubleshoot assets and shots, and assist artists with problem-solving.
- Collaborate with tech teams to test and validate tools and techniques in production, ensuring seamless integration with software systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the pipeline and tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with supervisors and leads to ensure alignment with studio goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in maintaining tools for use in a CG environment.
- At least 3 years of production experience in visual effects for film, commercials, or television.
- Proficiency in Linux and advanced Python scripting required.
- Experience in Maya, Houdini, and RenderMan.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-discipline.
- Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
- Medium English level required; Spanish desirable.
