About the Role

As a Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager at Amazon, you will play a critical role in driving improvements on-site and at a regional level. Your primary responsibility will be to manage your team on-site, while regularly collaborating with other teams across the company to maintain high standards and drive a culture of safety and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your team on-site, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address health and safety risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Analyze data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information they need to make informed safety-related decisions.
  • Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Drive programs designed to improve the safety culture in Amazon, fostering a culture that revolves around operating safely.
About the Team

Amazon's Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is a diverse and dynamic group that plays a central role in our success. As part of ATS, you will be welcomed into a team that uses air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology, to help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency.

Requirements
  • Education to a degree level and qualification in Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (including specialisations in Seguridad en el Trabajo, Higiene Industrial y Ergonomía & Psicosociología aplicada) following Spanish Health and Safety regulations.
  • Relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies, as well as charter membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH).
