About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our team at Somma. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for implementing sophisticated interfaces created by our UX/UI designer. This front-end will integrate with a back-end system that manages the discovery and sharing of biomedical data.

About the Project: The selected candidate will contribute to the development of a platform that enables scientists to access and query biomedical data generated by research and healthcare institutions worldwide while aligning with data privacy regulations. This is a unique opportunity to work on world-class collaborative scientific projects.

About the Team: You will join a multidisciplinary team at the European Genome-Phenome Archive (EGA) and will work closely with bioinformaticians, data curators, web designers, and other developers. Our team is a diverse group composed of bioinformaticians, developers, and scientists from various backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. You will have a strong background in Web frontend (HTML, CSS, JS).
  2. You will have a strong background in any JavaScript Frameworks (React/ Angular/ Vue).
  3. You will have an understanding of server-side aspects (including web security).
  4. You will have experience in working with REST APIs for application and services integration.
  5. You will have experience with containerization technology (such as Docker).
