Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Position Title (Job Code): Procurement Buyer - ATEINSA

Employment Type: Permanent

Primary Location: Cerro Negro

Job Objective:

  • Execute purchase orders and oversee supplier deliveries in alignment with Production/Operations needs, adhering to ALSTOM's guidelines and policies, while striving for profitable growth through quality enhancement.
  • Deliver excellence within an organization that prioritizes quality, cost-efficiency, timely delivery, and a favorable business environment.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations at the workplace.

Internal Collaborations:

  • Collaborate with Managing Director, Sourcing, Procurement, Planning, Finance, Projects, Operations, EHS, and Quality teams.

External Collaborations:

  • Engage with suppliers, auditors, and occasionally customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the master data for materials within your area of influence.
  • Ensure material availability and manage shortages effectively.
  • Oversee specific supplier conditions and manage procurement documentation for goods and services.
  • Track purchase order receipts and follow up on supplier orders using the GSI system and other platforms.
  • Handle supplier capacity self-declarations and manage the supply chain's capacity, providing support for capacity audits as needed.
  • Consolidate supplier demand across relevant centers.
  • Address and resolve supplier crises.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and collections.
  • Prepare necessary reports related to procurement activities.
  • Mitigate structural risks within the supply chain and enhance its efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to achieve world-class supply chain excellence.
  • Offer comprehensive support to projects to meet QCD commitments.
  • Assist in identifying needs, defining requirements, and improving standards and tools, including executing necessary system tests.
  • Monitor and manage KPIs within your area of influence.
  • Optimize transport and shipment logistics for suppliers.
  • Address non-conformities associated with suppliers.
  • Adhere to EHS regulations consistently.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Essential: Professional Education in Administration
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration

Language Proficiency:

  • Essential: Fluency in English
  • Preferred: Fluency in French

Experience:

  • Essential: Minimum of 3 years in similar roles within Supply Chain, particularly in Procurement and Planning.
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, and tools for Material Planning and Procurement.
