Job Title: Senior COBOL Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior COBOL Developer to join our team at Incoming Domain in Madrid. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex COBOL applications using CICS and DB2.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop COBOL applications using CICS and DB2
  2. Maintain and enhance existing COBOL code
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  4. Develop and implement automated testing and deployment scripts
  5. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards

Requirements:

  1. Strong experience with COBOL programming language
  2. Proficiency in CICS and DB2
  3. Experience with agile development methodologies
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Eclipse, Linux, and bash scripting
  2. Knowledge of Python and scripting languages
  3. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization
  4. Understanding of microservices architecture
