We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Senior Specialist to join our Operations Department at Qiagen Gruppe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Provide training to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess workplace hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Stay informed of changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize occupational health risks.
- Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnological Industry.
- Experience in EHS is required (3-5 years).
- Experience in PCR and biosafety is desired.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is required. Fluent in Catalan is highly valuable.
