Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineering Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting customer expectations.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing technical projects from initiation to delivery. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing Technical Scope: Ensure that the technical contractual scope of the project is accurately defined and managed.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with the project.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and customer-facing teams.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all project solutions meet applicable regulations and standards.
  • Project Solution Management: Oversee the customization and parameterization of our generic solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Change Control: Act as the chairman of the Project Change Control Board.
  • Engineering Activities: Supervise verification and validation activities, and ensure that engineering work packages meet quality, cost, delivery, and performance commitments.
  • Team Leadership: Functionally lead the project engineering team, allocate tasks, and ensure engineering activities are followed up.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing technical projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable regulations and standards in the industry.
