Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer to join our Engineering Capex Projects team. As a Construction Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our CAPEX program and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and define construction design documents and deliverables, ensuring functionalities meet project specifications.
- Integrate aspects of constructability, operability, maintainability, and safety into construction projects, collaborating with technical teams.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, including pipe and isometrics, mechanical specifications, and civil specifications, in collaboration with technical teams and contractors.
- Develop and manage project execution strategies and timelines, aligning with project capex plans and site activities.
- Define and manage regular construction reports, including schedule, cost control, and other relevant metrics, and forward to project management.
- Coordinate contractors, supervise construction works, and mitigate potential risks during construction phases.
- Conduct technical revisions of equipment and materials as necessary.
Requirements
- MSc in Chemical, Industrial, or similar Engineering or BSc in Chemical, Industrial, or similar Engineering.
- Spanish native speaker and English business fluent (min B2).
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the pharma biotech industry or related field, with demonstrable expertise.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of main international design standards (ASME, UNE-EN-ISO) and Spanish industrial safety and civil regulations.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sanitary design and regulations (FDA, cGMP, ASME-BPE).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D or similar.
- Positive, proactive, diligent, engaged, and accessible/open to dialogue person.
