Staff Software Engineer, Identity and Access Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Okta, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering powerful new functionality that enables our SaaS customers to empower their customers to configure and manage user access and permissions.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineers to design and deliver new functionality that meets the needs of our SaaS customers.
- Support the team as a technical expert, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and reliable.
- Tackle complex technical challenges and create proof of concepts to drive innovation.
- Drive technical improvements to our codebase and architecture.
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers on sound engineering practices.
- Experience working on full-stack apps and backend services, with a strong understanding of best practices.
- Proficiency in Docker and cloud environments (AWS and Azure preferred).
- Good SQL knowledge and experience, with an eye for performant schemas and queries.
- Understanding and experience of DevOps culture.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of security engineering and application security.
