Senior Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Evidence Synthesis department, you will be responsible for leading and directing research projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing strategic guidance to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement systematic and targeted literature reviews to inform evidence-based decision-making
- Lead project teams in the execution of work, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
- Evaluate evidence bases to determine the feasibility of indirect treatment comparison analyses
- Conceptualize advanced study designs and develop study protocols and analysis plans in collaboration with statisticians
- Oversee the conduct of indirect treatment comparison analyses and interpret findings
- Lead interactions with clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, providing strategic consultation and advice on research needs
- Manage project budgets, deliverables, and timelines, identifying scope expansion and the need for amendments
- Review and finalize project deliverables, ensuring study findings are valid and reliable
- Participate in business development, including input into proposal review, kick-off meetings, and bid defense meetings
- Support sales through methodological excellence, reviewing and tracking annual sales targets
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in research and development, with a focus on evidence synthesis and clinical trials
- Proven track record of leading and directing research projects, with a strong publication record
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and findings
