Software Engineer - Infra Instrumentation

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Instrumentation team in Europe. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining instrumentation agents and integrations for various products, including Kafka and MySQL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and scale Rust and Go clients/projects as well as their support tools.
  • Contribute to Open Source projects and collaborate with team members to discuss and implement service improvements.
  • Ship incrementally and often, helping the team to maintain a constant flow of feedback on its work.
  • Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach, participating in second-layer support rotations.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on open source software, Linux systems, and Rust programming language.
  • Autonomous, cross-functional, and agile individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality software at a regular cadence.
  • Self-motivated, learn fast, keep accountable, and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing instrumentation products, working on different Unix OSes and Windows, and upstream contributions to relevant Open Source projects.
