Job Title: Group Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Specialist to join our finance team at Kingmakers. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial planning. Build budget and forecast templates for the businesses to complete.
  • Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial data relating to business initiatives, such as analyzing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Review the monthly management accounts and prepare analysis to explain variances of Actuals vs Forecast / Budget / Prior Year. Perform trend analysis to understand the seasonality of the business.
  • Reporting: Assist with the preparation of Leadership Team and Board Meeting presentations, including the monthly reporting pack, the annual budget presentation, forecast updates, and other ad hoc presentations.
  • Business Partnering: Support and challenge the businesses in the Group, such as reviewing their forecast submissions and monthly financials. Collaborate with various departments to gather management reporting information and ensure accountability, such as the reporting of non-financial KPIs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function. Further automate the FP&A tasks to reduce manual workload and allow for further analysis time.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, management accounting, or a related financial role.
  • Experience of working with Excel & PowerPoint at an advanced level and comfortable with manipulating complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to work as part of a team and communicate with non-finance departments.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
