About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Polymer Process Engineering team at SABIC. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our plants, while also driving process improvements and innovations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain process engineering expertise for dedicated process technology of specific plants or process sections.
  • Ensure process engineering integrity of specific plants or process sections by reviewing SHE-studies, maintaining plant operating windows, and analyzing asset performance.
  • Develop and propose manufacturing-driven technological improvements, including process engineering scoping of projects.
  • Prepare and initiate process improvements and optimizations, including process engineering scoping of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, select, and allocate resources to deliver a balanced portfolio of plant improvement opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical industry, preferably in the field of Manufacturing or R&D.
  • Knowledge of polymer plants and experience in developing, designing, and optimizing chemical installations.
  • High standards for process safety and ability to balance sound technical solutions with required delivery timings.
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to cooperate closely with relevant counterparts in Operations and R&D departments.
  • Fluent English and Dutch language skills.
