Job Summary
The successful candidate will lead the FEED/EPC package under the direction of Senior Project Engineers and Project Manager. This role involves reviewing, assessing, and managing the scope of works, as well as supervising civil and structural engineering execution in detailed design.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil and structural engineering execution in detailed design, production of calculations for heavy equipment foundations, buildings, and steel structures.
- Lead EPC analysis and design of modular steel structures, including sea transportation, lifting analysis, skidding analysis, load out, and stress analysis.
- Design structural steel and precast pipe racks, technological structures, process plant structures, blast-resistant buildings, compressor/table top, pumps, and similar types of machine foundations.
- Design equipment foundations like exchangers, coolers, process columns, steel stacks, horizontal vessels, pipe supports, and specialist structures like chimneys, natural draught cooling towers, pre-stressed bridges, and arch bridges.
- Ensure compliance with international design codes of practices, such as American and British codes, and International Building Code (IBC).
- Plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Review drawings, specifications, and calculations, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and standards.
- Coordinate the design effort to support materials requisitions and ensure documents comply with technical project specifications.
- Analyze disputed items from technical and contractual aspects and prepare required official responses.
- Process and follow up change orders requests, preparing required justification work sheets, issuing change order requests to contractors, and leading scope alignment processes with contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, petrochemical projects.
- Good working knowledge of Aramco standards and procedures and international standards.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal.
