About the Role

Amazon is seeking a talented Graduate Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a software development engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software end-to-end, from working with stakeholders on requirements to owning the ongoing operations of the software.
  • Work with a global team to tackle new challenges and develop innovative software solutions.
  • Experiment and learn from successes and failures, and apply that knowledge to improve software development processes.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills, preferably in C/C++ and/or Java on a UNIX or Linux platform.
  • Knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Experience developing software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) platforms.
