What You Can Expect
In our Product Team Business Intelligence Finance & Procurement, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex software and application components in the Business Intelligence environment of BASF Group. You will develop and consult on Business Intelligence applications tailored to the needs of our business units, finding technical solutions to complex requirements and bringing them to life in our systems. Additionally, you will work closely with our external provider to cover operational aspects and resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities
Your focus will be on one or more of the following areas:

  • You will consult on technical questions related to business applications for reporting, create specifications for projects, and collaborate with other consultants and business units to develop solutions.
  • You will develop complex software on your own, as well as manage developments in collaboration with internal colleagues or external service providers.
  • You will regularly perform maintenance tasks, quality assurance measures, and test activities, and develop support concepts to ensure smooth service operation of applications.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT, or computer science with a focus on business administration.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in IT-related topics.
  • Experience in IT development and IT operations aspects of a big BI system, preferably in the SAP Business Warehouse area.
  • Programming skills in ABAP/ABAP OO, SQL, HANA native, or another 3 GL development language (e.g., C++, Java, etc.).
  • A strong interest in understanding the business background and creating sustainable BI applications with internal business partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a high level of service and customer orientation.
