Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Center Supervisor to join our team at Higherhorizons. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Salamanca center, overseeing all aspects of programming, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Oversight: Ensure all aspects of the center's programming are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support all staff at the assigned locations, including professional development and improvement plans.
  • Child Supervision: Oversee child supervision policies and procedures, including boarding and unboarding buses, and conduct formal classroom observations.
  • Parent Involvement: Ensure full parent involvement in all aspects of the program, coordinate and attend parent committee meetings, and arrange and conduct trainings.
  • Facility Management: Oversee facility repairs, maintenance, and required inspections, and work closely with the Associate Director to seek approval for repairs and maintenance.
  • Training and Development: Provide and participate in training, and ensure staff completion of professional development plans.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree including or in addition to 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field, one year full-time teaching experience in a child day care center, family or group family day care home, or other early childhood program, and one year of experience supervising staff.
