The Functional Printing & Embedded Devices Unit is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions utilizing functional materials and devices.
This Unit possesses extensive expertise to support the entire spectrum of research, from initial concepts to prototyping and production. We cover the complete Technology Readiness Level (TRL) pathway, encompassing idea conceptualization, prototype validation, design, proof of concept, material analysis, processes, prototyping, and characterization.
Our specialization areas include the formulation of functional inks, printing and coating techniques for lightweight and flexible devices, as well as electronics design, development, and manufacturing of both conventional and hybrid PCB electronics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programming in C/C++ for microcontrollers utilized in embedded systems, including STM32, Nordic Semiconductors, Microchip, Espressif, and Texas Instruments.
- Designing, manufacturing, and assembling multilayer electronic boards (including schematics and PCB layout) on both rigid and flexible substrates.
- Data acquisition from various types of sensors, control electronics for diverse systems, and electronics for wireless communication.
- Conducting characterization and quality laboratory measurements within the Unit.
- Collaborating closely with other technical and business departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
- A degree (or nearing completion) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications.
- Experience in hardware development and prototyping.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Capability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable:
- Experience in developing software applications for testing on mobile devices (Android) and desktop systems (Windows).
- Experience in PCB electronic design layout.
