We are on the lookout for a Senior Engineer to become an integral part of a newly established team of Engineers in our Madrid office. Your Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.
- More than 7 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, proficient in JavaScript or preferably TypeScript.
- Expertise in constructing cloud-native distributed systems.
- A generalist skill set across various technical domains beyond Backend, including Frontend, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Networking.
- Strong analytical and design capabilities for complex software systems.
- Proven experience in developing scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Solid background in creating cloud-native software within the Kubernetes ecosystem and experience with Hyperscalers like AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of modern engineering practices (Git strategy, CI/CD, testing, etc.) and their application to empower a team of engineers.
- A problem-first mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs and view technology as a means to achieve those ends.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt without close supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in English.
