About the Position

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the Life Sciences Department. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be part of a dynamic team working on cutting-edge research projects in computational biology and AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and application of novel methods combining AI language models with atomistic molecular modeling for advancing in the conditions-specific bioprospecting and engineering of enzymes and proteins.
  • Participate in technical meetings with internal and external collaborators, lead technical discussions, and supervise junior researchers.
  • Liaise with BSC support departments as responsible person for specific projects.
Requirements
  • PhD in computational biology, chemistry, bioinformatics, physics, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Proven excellent scientific publication track record in the same or a related area.
  • At least 2-3 years' of postdoctoral experience in the same or in a related area.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent programming languages.
  • Proficiency in atomistic molecular modeling and experience in working with high-performance computing environments.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Spanish and other European languages would be advantageous.
