Your role will involve engaging in diverse assessments, aiding clients in navigating the intricate challenges faced by electrical systems as they strive to meet their decarbonization and sustainability objectives. The projects span all sectors of the electrical industry, including utilities, renewable energy developers, and various industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of advisory projects by the Power Consulting team, focusing on System Studies for major stakeholders in the electricity sector, including distribution, transmission, retailers, and generators, assisting them in addressing regulatory, economic, and electrical challenges.
- Engage in projects that may include enhancing utility operational efficiency, evaluating the effects of renewable energy integration (both offshore and onshore) on electrical networks, and assessing the introduction of new players in the electrical ecosystem, such as E-mobility and hydrogen.
- Participate in consulting projects utilizing established methodologies and technologies to devise solutions and address issues.
- Foster and maintain long-term relationships with both internal and external clients to promote profitable growth and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
- Collaborate in an international environment with various Power Consulting units and other divisions within HITACHI ENERGY.
- Support business development and marketing efforts by clarifying technical inquiries from clients and analyzing feedback to propose effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities for new and repeat consulting engagements, building a robust internal and external network for information exchange.
- Engage in project management tasks, including planning, scheduling, customer satisfaction, financial oversight, and risk management, ensuring that assignments are delivered as per contractual agreements.
- Create value for clients and the organization, ensuring successful outcomes for transactions, contracts, and proposals through effective sales techniques and negotiation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities for various projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance processes and tools by exploring advanced techniques, while mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
- Contribute to achieving established financial targets for a specific technology, business area, or consulting team.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems, or a related field is required; advanced degrees (Masters, PhD, MBA) are preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in executing power systems studies and a solid understanding of electrical power systems.
- Proven experience in designing and performing power systems studies with a consulting perspective.
- In-depth knowledge of the electric power industry, including market dynamics, systems, and equipment.
- Proficiency in power systems modeling and analysis using simulation software, with experience in tools such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, and PSCAD.
- Experience in proposing solutions related to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS), E-mobility, smart cities, and electrical transmission and distribution planning.
- Expertise in power systems, equipment knowledge, and the development of proposals regarding energy policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in managing and advising both private companies and public agencies on regulatory, operational, and strategic matters within the energy sector at both national and international levels.
- Familiarity with user-defined model development in power system analysis software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Python scripting is a plus.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong adaptability, interpersonal skills, teamwork, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A valid work permit in Spain is required.
