Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Layout Technician to collaborate with our team of Layout Artists. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-visualizing sequences, setting up files, providing support, and solving technical problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Visualization: Collaborate with Layout Artists to pre-visualize sequences and set up files.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and solve problems as needed.
- File Management: Set up and manage files for the Layout Artists.
- Modeling: Model low polygon sets and create simple viewport FX.
- Rigging: Perform simple rigging tasks.
- Publication: Work with internal tools to publish shots.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with current artistic methodologies and technology trends.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members as needed.
- Supervision: Follow the guidance of Supervisors and Leads.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years in VFX or animation industries.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Maya is a must.
- Artistic Skills: Demonstrable artistic skills, including a strong sense of composition and perspective.
- Animation Knowledge: Knowledge of animation is a plus.
- Programming Skills: Programming in Python is desirable.
- Language Skills: High English level desirable, Spanish desirable.
