About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join our Digital Transformation Office at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the digital future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and articulate the architectural vision for the entire enterprise, enabling digitalization and promoting innovation.
  • Design an IT transformation roadmap, evaluating the as-is and to-be states, and aligning impact to business capabilities and information with business, and to applications, data, infrastructure, and technology with IT architects.
  • Evaluate alternative architectural approaches and drive technical delivery, being accountable for overall data engineering strategy, data orchestration architecture, and data operations execution framework.
  • Define the target data architecture for Siemens Energy's and Siemens Gamesa's data estate, considering the construct of business areas, processes, information, data domains, data products, and anticipated integration and provisioning for multi-purpose consumption patterns.
  • Be part of ambitious Digital Transformation Office programs to design and deploy our target operating model.
  • Define the target operating model of a modern data and AI factory, and create the framework to monitor and manage the performance and quality of integration pipelines, and to measure and improve data development velocity and efficiency.
  • Define standards and design patterns to optimize data sharing without sacrificing flexibility, promote scale, and a composable data landscape that will serve our current and future data needs.
  • Provide a good foundational frame for cost management and control for our data and platform operations.
  • Define data integration requirements and the right access control framework to facilitate data provisioning at scale.
Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge in the field of Data & Analytics and Data Architecture, their strategy/trends, applications, and technology used.
  • Several years of experience in working with Enterprise IT solutions (applications & infrastructure) or Vertical IT (Engineering, PLM, and ALM) or Operational Technology enablement (IoT, Digital Twin) or developing streaming and batch data pipelines for both cloud and hybrid infrastructures and with streaming frameworks (e.g., AWS IoT stack).
  • Work experience in business or IT projects or strategy-related roles (Consultant or Team Lead) and experience in doing analysis and concepts pertaining to Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) and Strategy.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of data ingestion, data modeling & analytics with broad and in-depth expertise in database and data warehouse modeling.
  • Experience with cloud providers in data architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure) or in data mesh implementation.
  • Excellent and persuasive communication skills with the ability to transmit technical aspects in business and management language and fluency in both spoken and written English.
