About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Editor to join our team at Syneos Health. As a Senior Medical Editor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our medical writing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines and industry standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement medical writing strategies and processes.
  • Lead and mentor junior medical editors and writers to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional growth.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on data integrity review, compilation, and publishing standards.
  • Manage complex medical writing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain process improvement tools and internal policies and procedures affecting editorial work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science, clinical science, or English/journalism; or relevant publishing experience.
  • Significant experience in medical writing, editing, or a related field, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, copyediting, data integrity review, accuracy, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, presentation, project management, and team-oriented skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
