About the RoleAt Artelia, we are seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist to join our team. As a BIM Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Produce coordinated 3D BIM models and simulations of BIM models based on existing detailed design 2D CAD/markup drawings and files produced by detailed design consultants using Revit.
- Setup of BIM views for use by the project team, including electronic document filing and all other facets of the electronic drawings and models.
- Create BIM work sets and implement work-sharing processes.
- Perform clash detection in Autodesk Navisworks or similar software.
- Use the Revit family editor to build BIM content for building components, as necessary.
- Work with various disciplines and external parties to create BIM and subsequent drawings based on schematic diagrams and models.
- Assist both internal and external team members in the development of construction documents and as-built document creation and maintenance.
- Work with various parties to update as-built model and 2D sheet files through construction with changes on-site or as instructed.
- Work side by side with teams in-house and external teams to complete BIM projects.
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and proper utilization of company/project standards, templates, and content.
- Monitor and check for model quality and integrity.
- Provide feedback to Consultant Designers and Engineers.
- Produce models and drawings consistent with Project instructions, guidelines, and CAD and BIM standards.
- Modify CAD and BIM files for use in design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, and troubleshoot).
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
- Minimum of five (5) years of work-related technical experience.
- Knowledge in using Revit for actual projects.
- Working understanding of local and international codes and standards and experience in the consulting business carrying out MEP design.
- Oral and Written Communication skills.
- Knowledge in Eurocode is a plus.
- Working understanding of local and international codes and standards and experience in the consulting business carrying out mechanical design, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, process works, and other work-related matters.
- Experience with Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM360.
- Willingness to work on flexible/extended work schedule.
